Yamunotri Dham - Details of Yamunotri Temple

Gangotri Dham or Temple is located at Gangotri in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand State in India. It is a temple of the holy Ganges which is situated at 3042 altitude in the Himalayas. It is a holy site of Hindus and the second temple in Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. Many devotees visit Yamunotri with Gangotri temple and this Yatra is known as the Do Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. The next journey is Kedarnath Dham which is the third temple of Char Dham Yatra. The nearest airport is in Dehradun. The road is well-connected from Dehradun, Delhi, Rishikesh, and Haridwar. Devotees leave from Haridwar to reach Gangotri Dham and they stop at Uttarkashi and leave for Gangotri the next day.
